Ford’s Taurus SHO has is a sporty and fast sedan with quite a bit of power and Ford Motor has given the 2013 model a few revamps and changes for a higher level of performance, more interior comforts and state of the art technology. Some people may think of the traditional Taurus as a “boring” family car but the SHO is a luxury sedan with a sports performance edge. It can compete on the same level as the Audi A6, Lexus GS350 and Mercedes Benz C-Class.

Although the SHO looks like a regular sedan it sports a ton of power; it’s known as a “sleeper” . However, looks can be deceiving since the SHO sports quite a bit of muscle under the hood and a ton of unexpected power. The 2013 Taurus is equipped with a powerful 3.5 Liter Ecoboost engine with 365 hp and 350 lb feet of torque; the same amount of power as its predecessor.  If you want even more performance you can upgrade to a special performance package which will raide the bar even higher. The front grille has been revamped and given a makeover; it consists of a black grille for a menacing and edgy contemporary appearance. A spoiler has also been added for an attractive sporty appearance.  The brakes have also been upgraded; the new ones are much more powerful and responsive  As a result, handling has been improved significantly with the implementation of a system to control torque vectoring and power electric steering has also been added. Consumers have the option of selected from twenty inch painted wheels and the side view mirrors come in black. The hood has also been changed up a bit and appears more longer than the older one. Additional updates consists of the inclusion of Ford’s exclusive MyFordTouch system which will function in tandem with Sync from Microsoft. MyFordtouch allows the driver to change their audio, place phone calls and receive detailed directions by just stating simple voice commands. Ford Motor has not released pricing for the 2013 version yet but the 2011 version currently retails at around $25k-$37k depending on the options selected.
