Growing up in Detroit, the motor town, I got to see lots of classic autos for sale. Folks would drive around in Trans Ams, Firebirds, Mustangs, and all those alternative American muscle cars. The issue was that in the winter, Michigan uses lots of salt to resolve its ice Problems. This rots the cars, making them rust prematurely. The only model that I gained the most respect for was the auto that never appeared to age the perpetually youthful Corvette. With fiberglass bodywork, even 1962 Corvettes for sale seemed to be in great condition.
From the time I used to be a teenager, it was my dream to own a Corvette for sale. One of my chums was very into Trans Am’s, but for me that wasn’t where it was at. Corvettes were so cool. They combined the grunt of the American muscle cars with an exotic, sporty look. Although the new Corvettes were cool, the old ones are my favorite. I wasn’t a huge fan of used cars for sale in general, but old Corvettes, with their exaggerated sensuous curves, were dream machines to me.
Nevertheless, I did not have a lot of cash. New vehicles For sale were out of the problem of course. Even most classic Corvettes were beyond my. I had to find a cheap used car, or I would not have any automobile. I kept away from the lots that specialized in Corvettes for sale. Almost all of those were visited by connoisseurs, and that drove the price up. Instead, I went to some nearby used auto lots till I found it : a beat up but drivable 1973 Corvette. I knew that it was not in good shape, and that it would most likely take a large amount of work, but I was still ecstatic when I found it. After all , there weren’t many Corvettes for sale within my price range.
One of the things that you’ve got to realize when you buy Corvettes for sale is the body almost always looks better than what is going on on inside. That isn’t to say Corvette don’t ware well they do. The issue is simply that, barring a major crash, a fiberglass Corvette body will last forever. If you really wish to know if the automobile is in fine condition, you have to get under the hood. When I did, I was decidedly unhappy. It really needed a large amount of work. Nevertheless, I knew some people with experience in automobiles to show me everything I wished to know. I took it to shop class, and worked on it after school. Soon, I had one of the meanest machines on the road.
