The majority of of these are available with automatic CVT transmissions therefore the driver can [focus on] the task at hand.  Engine sizes can range from little 150cc engines all the way up to 660cc+ engines.  Towing capacities on some of these new generation machines can exceed 1200lbs.  Operating one of these is like driving a little pickup, but the fuel savings advantage is great. Some models come equipped with 4WD plus differential lock capabilities that can give some of the machines unbelievable off road traction.  Powerful engines in a number of these permit them to haul heavy even allow some of these to absorb the bumps on the jobsite or off road trails.

Some of the vehicles are more suited as a farm, ranch, or jobsite utility vehicle.  Others have much more off road capability.  Some are proficient at both!  It all  depends on what the user wants, how much money they want to pay, and private preference on which model would be the perfect choice.  Thankfully, there are now several corporations which manufacture ATV utility vehicles and the range of great selections is growing!  Additional energy-economical than a truck plus fun to drive, each one-terrain utility vehicles (ATVs) are excellent machines for farm, garden and smallscale forestry work. When the ATV was initially introduced in the early 1960s it had been designed just for transportation. Models had only three wheels, were unstable on rough terrain and not suited to heavy work. But in 1984 when the first four- and six-wheelers hit the bottom it had been obvious [that the] serious work of farming, gardening plus forestry can be a whole lot easier. The majority of of the new machines have engine displacements of 250 to 700 cubic centimeters (cc), may pull a load of up to half a ton and|plus] reach speeds of up to 50 mph. Additionally, the various attachments that may be added to the front and rear of an ATV permit it to be a multiuse utility vehicle. Costs range from $2,700 to $10,000, depending on engine size, range of wheels, four-wheel-drive capability and accessories.
