We’ve all been there at some point in our lives - moving from one place to an other and not knowing where to locate a decent moving truck rental location.  Is there one near to you?  Or is it necessary to truck halfway across the state or your city to find a moving truck rental outlet?  Then needless to say, you need to figure out your moving truck rental budget. There are lots of items to try and keep track of when you’re moving, that you’d like to be able to just locate a moving truck rental place that offers lots of choices of vans for the move and is reasonably priced as well.  Too much to ask?  Not once you know where to look and what you really need to make your move a success.

One more thing you should look at is whether you have to rent one way or return.  Ask the moving truck rental outfit about drop off locations at your destination.  Many will charge a small fee for this, but it might be really worth your while to do this instead of return the truck.  This obviously definitely makes the most sense if you’re moving inter-city as opposed to inter-state. Incidentally, lots of moving truck rental locations will also sell you packing boxes for the move.  So if you’re going to be renting a van from them for the move, then it is smart to get the boxes from them.  These boxes are the easy to take down and can be re-used or recycled.

Determine what size van you want to rent prior to going to pick it up.  If you get one that’s too small, you’ll find yourself making more trips than you had intended to make.  So rather than go for size efficiency and cost efficiency, look into what size van works for your move.  Better to have one that’s a little too large than one that’s too small and won’t take all your belongings with out them being smashed into a space far too small. Another idea for your move would be to rent a van from a company that drives for you and brings you the truck, dolly and furniture blankets.  You load, they drive.  Not a bad alternative if you don’t have experience steering large trucks around.
